MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
POWER INDICATOR NOT LIT.
Check that fuse F1 on lamp control assembly is good.
Step 1.
If good, do step 2.
If bad, replace fuse.
Rotate left and right lamp dimmers fully clockwise. Using
Step 2.
multimeter, check P1 between pin B and pin D or between
pin A and pin E for approximately 750 volts ac.
If voltage is present, replace power indicator.
(See table 7-3.)
If voltage is not present, refer to figure 7-1
and make continuity checks to locate faulty wire,
connector, fuseholder, power ON/OFF switch or inter-
lock switch or transformer. Replace faulty component.
(See table 7-3.)
Check that malfunction is corrected.
Step 3.
If not, refer faulty TID to depot maintenance
personnel.
2.
ILLUMINATORS NOT LIT.
Check that TID power indicator is lit.
Step 1.
I f lit, do step 2.
If not lit, refer to item 1 above.
Rotate left and right lamp dimmers fully clockwise. Using
Step 2.
multimeter, check P1 between pin B and pin D for right
illuminator and between pin A and pin E for left
i l l u m i n a t o r . Approximately 750 volts ac should be present.
If voltage is present at both pins, refer to
f a u l t y wire, connector, or illuminator. Replace
faulty component. (See table 7-3.)
If voltage is not present at one pin, refer to
faulty wire, lamp dimmer transformer, or connector.
Replace faulty component. (See table 7-3. )
