sembly.

6-107. Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair

a. Cleaning. Clean metal parts with a cleaning

solvent. Clean the lenses with grain alcohol or

acetone and lens tissue.

b. Inspection. Inspect the tubes, housing, and

washer for dents, and burs. Inspect the lenses for

chips, cracks, scratches, and etchings.

c. Repair. Remove any burs and straighten

minor dents. Replace defective parts that cannot

be repaired. Paint all metal surfaces where the

paint is scratched or worn off.
