EYEPIECE PRISM
Description. The eyepiece prism contains a

90-degree glass prism with an exterior
hinge-mounted filter. The 90-degree eye-
piece prism enables the operator to
observe a target while at right angles to
the normal viewing angle. The hinge-
mounted filter is to be positioned over the
eyepiece aperture when the target is situ-
ated in the line of direct sunlight.

installed by pressing it into the eyepiece
aperture (2).
EYEPIECE SUN FILTER
Description. The eyepiece sun filter is

used to restrict reflected or direct sun-
light.

Installation. Install sun filter (1) by press-
ing into eyepiece aperture (2).
AC-DC CONVERTER
a.
Description. The AC-DC converter assem-
bly is provided to permit the surveying
instrument to be powered from a 115 Vac,
60 or 400 Hz power source. When connect-
ed to the AC power source, the converter
supplies the DC voltage necessary to oper-
ate the instrument. The converter and
interconnecting electrical cables are
stored in the transport case. Cap assem-
blies are provided on the converter to pro-
tect the electrical receptacles when the
equipment is not in use.
