point using the optical plummet refer to figure 2-20.
(3) Leveling. To level the theodolite refer to figure 2-21.

Normal Operation.
(1)
Install theodolite on tribrach assembly (fig. 3-7).
(2)
Install theodolite on tribrach assembly on tripod (fig. 2-10).
(3)
If necessary, install the battery box assembly (fig. 3-1).
(4)
If necessary, install the handlamp (3-2) or the plug-in lamp (fig. 3-3).
(5)
If necessary install eyepiece prism assembly (fig. 2-22).
