GENERAL.
a . T h i s section provides a general explanation of all maintenance

MAINTENANCE FUNCTIONS.
Maintenance functions will be limited to and defined as follows:
a. Inspect.
T o determine the serviceability of an item by com-
paring its physical, mechanical and/or electrical characteristics with
e s t a b l i s h e d standards through examination.
b . Test. To verify serviceability and detect incipient failure
b y measuring the mechanical or electrical characteristics of an item and

c . Service.
